ISOLATION OF PSEUDOMONAS-CICHORII FROM PLANTS IN NEW-ZEALAND

摘要：
Fluorescent pseudomonads isolated from Carthamus tinctorius L. (safflower), Centaurea cyanus L. (cornflower), Chrysanthemum .times. morifolium Ramat. (florist''s chrysanthemum), Primula .times. polyantha Hort. (polyanthus), and Ranunculus acris L. (buttercup), were found to have the biochemical characteristics of Pseudomonas cichorii (Swingle 1925) Stapp 1928 in laboratory tests, and to share common hosts in pathogenicity tests. Carthamus, Centaurea, and Ranunculus are new hosts of the pathogen. Chrysanthemum is a new host of the pathogen in New Zealand.
