The Russo-Japanese War was a very important armed conflict in Japanese history, not only in a political and strategic way, but also in terms of settling the country as one of the great world powers at the beginning of the 20th Century. In this way, photography, and pictures like the ones in the Museo Universidad de Navarra, were a valuable informative medium to show both the japanese modernization and to configure the international public opinion in favour of the Land of Rising Sun.
