摘要
Software pipelining is a loop optimization technique which reorganizes the parallelism of the loop to improve execution time. The Petri net model for software pipelining presented in this paper produces a software pipeline which can achieve effective loop lengths which are non-integral, and hence shorter. This technique represents an improvement over current Petri net models in that a wider range of execution rates are achieved. Predicates within the loop are often scheduled optimally, dependencies carried over several iterations are handled, and the span is often decreased.
