MERCOSUR AND THE PACIFIC ALLIANCE: MORE DIFFERENCES THAN AGREEMENTS?

Mercosur is going through difficulties, which are not alien to other integration processes in Latin America. In recent years there have been changes in the strategies of integration of the countries of the region, showing some differences in how to engage with developed economies like the U.S. and the European Union and more recently with Asia Pacific. In short, Mercosur and the Pacific Alliance represent two models in the international integration of the region, which raises the question about the real differences between the two processes.
