THE HUMAN-SUBJECTS REVIEW PROCEDURE - AN EXERCISE IN CRITICAL THINKING FOR UNDERGRADUATE EXPERIMENTAL-PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS

Undergraduate psychology curricula almost always have one or more experimental courses and laboratories that majors are required to take. This article describes the use of the human subjects review process as a method of stimulating critical thinking in such classes. Questions posed by the review process are considered within the framework of critical-thinking exercises, and classroom applications are discussed.
