摘要
This paper addresses the problematic dimensions of the use given to the notion of the individual by a significant number of Latin American Feminism. The text analyzes the theoretical and political reception of the notion as well as the consequences of this type of understanding in two main areas: the production of knowledge and of the processes of state institutionalization (public policies). The main argument is that the non critical use of the notion of individual leads to its normative overdetermination contributing to the impoverishment of the reflections on Latin American societies, triggering the paradox that pursuing feminist utopian horizons of emancipation, new modes of domination might arise.
