AMERICAN-STYLE ACCREDITATION AND ITS APPLICATION IN CANADA - PERCEPTIONS OF UTILITY

A survey was sent to the heads of all business schools in Canada to gather their views on the desirability of possessing American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation and the desirability of forming a Canadian accrediting agency Responses were received from 26 business school heads, representing slightly more than 50 per cent of the population of Canadian university based business schools. Results show-negative opinions toward accreditation in general, and toward AACSB accreditation in particular
