摘要：
The article traces whether and how the Paisius of Hilandar's Istoria Slavyanobulgarska became a symbol of Bulgarian national unity and identity and was used in political propaganda from 1878 till present times. Particular attention is paid to different interpretations of the Istoria Slavyanobulgarska, the question of birth place and grave of its author as well to its importance for the Bulgarian diaspora.
