Evaluation of the Cassava Cultivate on the Western of Sao Paulo State

The cassava is a Brazilian native species and it's distributed by the whole national territory. The experiment was carried out in Alvares Machado-SP aimed to compare the productivity dry matter and rent of twelve cultivates of cassava at Presidente Prudente region, western of Sao Paulo State. The cultivates evaluated were Branca de Santa Catarina, Amarelinha Usina, IAPAR 5017, Mico, IAC 85, IAPAR 11054-3, Fecula Branca, Baianinha, Ivar, Olho Junto, IAPAR 11072-3 and Pionera IAPAR-19. The experimental design was a complete block design with twelve treatments and four replications. It was evaluated plants height, stem diameter, number of stems by plant, productivity, water content, dry matter and starch vield. With base in the results of the experiment the cultivates Pioneira Iapar 19 and IAC 85 were more adapted for area for one cultivation cycle.
