SURFACE-WAVES IN THERMO VISCOELASTIC MEDIA OF HIGHER-ORDER

The motivation of this paper is to investigate the stress equations of motion and equations of motion in terms of displacements in the thermo visco-elastic media of higher order. For investigation of the surface waves the displacement components are expressed interms of displacement potentials. The resulting equations are used to briefly investigate the particular surface waves of Rayleigh, Love and Stoneley type. In all cases the final results are in fair agreement with the corresponding classical results when the viscosity are neglected.
