摘要
This article highlights the experience of this author in a case study of just how one emergency department was able to positively transform the patient experience with incredible results, in spite of increasing volumes. The case study will outline this emergency department's formula for success and how to "connect the dots" on this important journey. As with any initiative, the key is to respect the process, define and clarify the purpose, and build strong relationships with the team. It is about priority of focus and hardwiring initiatives that are mutually acceptable in the organizational framework that ultimately benefits the patient.
