CASES OF IMPORTED MALARIA DIAGNOSED AT AL-JAHRA-HOSPITAL-LABORATORY (KUWAIT)

摘要：
The aim of this paper was to estimate some epidemiological data about malaria as an imported infection in Kuwait which is non-endemic. Epidemiological research was done at the district general hospital in Al-Jahra. The laboratory of Al Jahra hospital received blood samples from seven out-patients clinics and from in-patients with different diagnoses. In this paper it was confirmed that the number of positive cases, laboratory diagnosed, increased. The increased number of malaria cases was due to the increasing immigrant labour population, mostly from the Indian sub-continent.
