摘要
Pulsed ultrasound with a frequency of 823 kHz, a pulse average intensity of 1.75 W cm-2, on / off = 1 : 1 and pulse width from 1 00 mus up to 30 s was used to irradiate a sample of terephthalic acid (TA) solution. The effect of the ultrasound pulse width on the cavitation in a small-size reverberation field was experimentally researched and a correspondent analysis was theoretically made. A very good description for the experimental result has been given using the theoretical formulae obtained. A theoretical basis for the further study of cavitation in a reverberation field has also been obtained.
