摘要：
In column stability studies where columns are subjected to intermediate concentrated loads, effects of shear deformation will be predominant even though the columns are slender when the loaded length of the column is appreciably small compared with its overall length. This aspect is studied in detail in this paper and realistic estimates for the stability parameters of columns subjected to intermediate concentrated loads are presented.
