摘要
In this paper we discuss the impacts that economic crisis and enforcement of United States immigration policy have had in shaping new scenarios in Mexican international migration processes. We present some expressions of these changes in a rural community of migrant tradition in State of Mexico, with emphasis on the effects in family strategies. The main conclusions point out that international migration as household survival strategy in Las Vueltas (Coatepec Harinas) currently presents a change moment associated with contraction of labor market and security controls border. For this situation, the flow of immigrants to the United States has declined and international migration has reduced their role as social and economic resource.
