Actors and processes of electrification. Rural space and small towns of Tandil

The paper presents the electrification process of rural areas of the Tandil district, a process carried out by the Cooperativa Rural Electrica de Tandil-Azul Limitada-CRETAL-. CRETAL provides electricity service to rural producers and small-town inhabitants in a vast area in the south-east of the Pampean region. An analysis made upon information obtained from secondary sources and interviews with qualified informants, describing the mesh of provincial actors and processes that contextualize the development of the cooperative. Then it is presented the origin and evolution of the cooperative organization CRETAL, identifying the key milestones that contributed to its consolidation as an actor in the production and then, also the distribution of local electricity power production. Finally, a few processes of socio-productive and territorial related to rural electrification in the Partido de Tandil are presented.
