摘要
Workers from the IT sector represent a significant, non-exclusive turning point as regards to labor and professional unions. Far from traditional institutional arrangements, the vast majority of workers in software and computer technologies does not belong to a labor union as such. One of the purposes of this paper is discussing reasons for this lack of relation. The hypothesis held in this study is that one of the intervening factors is the specific nature of informational labor (which includes, though exceeds, that of IT workers). Furthermore, we rely on empirical evidence from our research proyect on software production processes in Buenos Aires City (Proyecto de Reconocimiento Institucional, Facultad de Ciencias Sociales, UBA, R10-279).
