摘要
Deep underground provides enormous resources for mankind, such as energy, minerals, and water. It can also provide effective solutions for pollutant disposal,such as nuclear waste disposal and CO2geosequestration, as well as storage spaces. In addition, deep underground is of great necessity because it provides an ultra-quiet environment for scientific research facilities for advanced experiments in physics, chemistry, and medicine.
