摘要：
The difference between strongly nonlinear waves and weak waves in which nonlinearity is strongly expressed is discussed. A way of classifying strongly nonlinear lumped and distributed systems is proposed. Examples of mathematical models and certain phenomena that occur in strongly nonlinear wave fields are given. © 2015, Allerton Press, Inc.
