摘要
The analysis of the information about the tribological properties of high-melting non-metallic oxygen- free compounds at elevated temperatures in the vacuum and air environment has permitted to identify the promising wear-resistant materials for application in high-temperature friction units: ceramics based on the silicon nitride and carbide and, boron carbide and cubic nitride, to a lesser extent; composite materials based on non-metallic compounds. to reduce friction when these materials contact with one another and different structural materials, solid lubricants should be used as components of composite materials or coatings. It is advisable to use ceramic materials as coatings deposited by modern techniques.
