The Pavlov Physiological Society, which will celebrate its centenary in 2017, has long enjoyed recognition among the scientific community and has always worked to consolidate the wide circle of specialists who are either directly or indirectly related to the study of physiological mechanisms. The current President of the society Academician M.A. Ostrovsky discusses the history of the creation of the Physiological Society, its goals and objectives, and its achievements and role in the development of Russian physiological science.
