The role of the patch effect electric fields in the Penning trap method of measuring the gravitational force on antiprotons

摘要
The Penning trap method of measuring the gravitational force on antiprotons and the stray potential values that can be tolerated using this measurement method are recalled. Then a high sensitivity vibrating plate electrometer able to measure these stray potentials on large surfaces is described and the preliminary results follow.
