摘要
RNA sequencing has become a key technology to study microbe-microbe and host-microbe interactions and improved our understanding of the underlying mechanisms and physiological consequences. Here, focusing on our gut, I illustrate how metatranscriptomics and Dual RNA-seq approaches provide functional insights into increasingly complex cellular interactions and outline future directions in the field of “cross-species” transcriptomics. © 2022, Der Autor.
