Background: Observations by pharmacists monitoring anticoagulated patients suggested that patients with diabetes often require more frequent international normalized ratio (INR) monitoring than patients without diabetes. The purpose of this investigation was to examine the association between glycemic control and therapeutic anticoagulation control.
