Experiments performed on sandy loamy gleyic soddy-podzolic soil at the Vezaiciai Branch of the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture showed that, after liming to specified pH levels at the annual surface application of mineral fertilizers to pastures, the greatest change in the pH KCl and P2O5 and K2O accumulations occurred in the upper (0-to 5-cm) layer of the plow horizon, which indicated the important role of grassing systems in hampering the migration of nutrients.
