Grundlagen: In der Abklärung nicht tastbarer Mammaherde steht seit April 1997 in Österreich das Advanced Breast Biopsy Instrumentation (ABBI®)-System zur Verfügung. Zur Überprüfung des Stellenwerts dieser neuen „minimal invasiven Operationsmethode“ wurde von der Österreichischen Krebshilfe landesweit eine Multizenterstudie initiert, über dessen erste Ergebnisse berichtet wird.
