摘要
Due to the enormous growth in the internet of things (IoT) devices, the secured transmission of data with minimum delay and consumption of energy becomes pivotal. In the current pandemic era, e-healthcare data management still relies on outdated systems, which makes it more vulnerable to attacks. As a result, there is a need for a system that allows a medical practitioner to securely access e-health records to provide service in the minimum time. To address this issue, now organizations have started integrating blockchain technology with their existing systems. Motivated by this, we propose a blockchain-based data management system to improve the data integrity and security of the internet of medical things (IoMT) system. The Ganache tool is used to create a local blockchain network that uses Metamask to verify accounts and enable users to approve or deny transactions. In this work, we store data of a patient in the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) and store the hash returned in the blockchain with the associated ID in order to keep track of data. This analysis shows a significant increase in average number of transactions per second using less bandwidth and it is more cost-effective than the traditional blockchain approach. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management.
