Abstract—This article is the third and last part of a review on the methods of studying ultraweak photon emission (UPE) from biological objects. Part I considered the general issues (history of research, basic terms, etc.). Part II analyzed the biological detection methods. Part III covers the physical methods, including basic devices and principles of photon detection, various approaches to improving the signal/noise ratio, a number of experimental schemes, specifics of various methods, and examples of experimental findings. Prospects of further development of instrumentation and the avenues of future research are discussed. © 2022, Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
