The stage of bubble nucleation in low-viscosity liquid supersaturated with gas is theoretically studied. It is shown that, in a certain parameter range, the bubble size is adjusted to the amount of gas in a bubble, and the state of the bubble can be described using one variable: the bubble size or the number of gas atoms in a bubble. For the case when changes in the initial supersaturation can be ignored, expressions for the nucleation time, bubble size distribution function, flux of nuclei in size space, and the maximal number of formed bubbles are derived.
