摘要
The most important of the causes of derangement of cognitive functions in elderly people are cerebrovascular diseases. Vascular cognitive impairments are not restricted to dementia, but form a group which is heterogeneous in terms of both pathogenesis and clinical features. This article discusses new principles for the classification of vascular cognitive impairments and reviews the potentials for their therapeutic correction. The results of a 12-week open randomized therapeutic observational study of the efficacy and safety of Vitrum Memory in the treatment of patients with vascular moderate cognitive impairment are presented. Treatment was found to produce significant improvements in the status of neurodynamic and regulatory functions in patients with grade I–II cerebral ischemia. © 2014, Springer Science+Business Media New York.
