Scanning tunneling microscopy and electron microscopy were used to study the aging process of the fcc alloy Fe+36.5%Ni+2.5%Ti under annealing. The possibility of using scanning tunneling microscopy to study new-phase deposits formed during aging is examined. The sizes of the γ′-phase particles was determined.
