Design of self-organized membership functions for an optimal fuzzy controller in enhancing frequency regulation

摘要
To observe the discrepancies between generated output power and load in a system with combined operation of small generation sources and conventional energy sources, the extensive work in this paper is to minimize frequency deviation by incorporating different controllers. Its functioning is verified through hybrid configuration of 3-area interconnected power system with Distributed Generation in area-1 integrated with hybrid sources and energy storage system, integrated with DG, thermal power system in area-2 and area-3. With this, the dynamic response of frequency is improved. Hybrid fuzzy with load frequency control with self-organizing maps with fuzzy controller which is an effective controller provides solution for an intricate effort in view of dynamic characteristics and random load variations are less when compared to the existing ones. The robustness of these controllers is systematically demonstrated under various loading conditions.
