Excitation of coherent acoustic phonons by a femtosecond pulse

摘要：
Excitation of coherent acoustic phonons in superlattices or layered materials by a femtosecond pulse is considered. In superlattices, coherent acoustic phonons with a wave vector Q=2π/a can be excited, where a is the superlattice period. The number and statistical properties of coherent phonons are estimated.
