Abstract: Analysis of the features of modern power-supply systems and the increasing requirements of consumers to electric-power-quality indicators (EPQIs) at the point of connection of electrical installations (electrical receivers) to external power supply networks of electric-grid companies was carried out. Significant deviations in EPQIs lead to significant damage to consumers due to disconnections of electrical equipment by technological protection due to overheating, increased wear of individual elements of production lines, which necessitates the introduction of systems for continuous monitoring or selective EPQI control. It is established that it is effective to switch from the control of a set of individual EPQIs to a generalized (complex) EPQI with the organization of simultaneous control over several parameters. The joint use effectiveness of simulation modeling results and data from EEQI monitoring systems for conducting a detailed EPQI analysis in power-supply systems using the sampling control procedure has been proven. An example of a sequential decision-making process in the generalized EPQI analysis based on Wald’s procedure of sequential analysis is given, which makes it possible to adapt the EPQI monitoring procedure to the specifics of a particular power-supply system. A block diagram of the developed device is presented, which implements the procedure for generalized EPQI selective control. An approach is given to determine the average number of sampling data required to make a decision on the electrical power quality when implementing the sequential analysis procedure. © 2023, Allerton Press, Inc.
