摘要
Background Again and again athletes find themselves with multiple diseases and underweight. Causes A "relative energy deficit in sport" (RED-S) can be the cause. This must be recognized early and treated in a team. Such a team includes the treating physician, nutritionist, psychologist, gynecologist, endocrinologist and of course the athlete's trainer and possible advisors. The first priority is to compensate for the energy deficit. This can also be done by banning training or competitions. Goal Especially in esthetic sports care should be taken to ensure that athletes do not suffer from an energy deficit and possibly suffer permanent damage.
