Über die letzten zehn Jahre haben sich Logistikketten und -prozesse teilweise drastisch verändert. Das liegt einerseits am Trend zu eCommerce und steigender Nachfrage nach individualisierten Produkten und Dienstleistungen. Andererseits haben Fortschritte in der IT-Hardware neue Möglichkeiten eröffnet. Sogenannte kollaborative Roboter gewinnen an Bedeutung, um Produktivität und vor allem Agilität in Produktion und Logistik zu verbessern.
