摘要：
Two different approaches towards meeting thefull Third Generation Mobile System (TGMS) requirementsare being discussed extensively in Europe. One ismigration from the GSM-900 DCS/1800 PCk network infrastructure to TGMS (the evolutionaryapproach) and the other is based on the design of a newsystem fully integrated with B-ISDN (the revolutionaryapproach). This paper examines the pros and cons of these two approaches and proposes analternative that consolidates the two approaches into asingle phased one.
