摘要
The neutron transport theory treatment to simulate a nuclear reactor system is necessary to verify the results from approximate methods or when sharp neutron flux gradients or anisotropic scattering are observed. The whole core neutron transport calculations are extremely CPU-time intensive and require best of solution algorithms and computing. The in-house code ATES3 has been developed to efficiently solve deterministic Sn neutron transport equation using some of the advanced solution methods. The code is well verified and has been used in variety of applications. Over the time, several useful features have been incorporated in the code and the process is ongoing. The present article gives an overview of the methods and techniques used in the solution of neutron transport code ATES3. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Society for Reliability and Safety (SRESA).
