摘要
Abstract—: The growing tough confrontation between Russia and Western countries creates new geopolitical realities for the interaction of participants in the China–Mongolia–Russia Economic Corridor. In conditions of reformatting foreign economic relations, the Mongolian direction may become an important route ensuring the entry of Russian goods to international markets and the import of necessary products. The authors analyze the formation of a tripartite China–Mongolia–Russia Economic Corridor and assess the impact of the events of 2020–2022 on the implementation of its priority infrastructure projects. The ambiguous consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic for rail and road cargo transportation are noted; the need for significant infrastructural changes, primarily in Mongolia, is emphasized to expand the transit capabilities of the Mongolian direction. © 2023, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
