摘要
Human rights have been understood differently by different scholars and are understood differently from varying viewpoints. Most importantly, some of the understandings conflict with the very essence of human rights itself. One such occasion is how the Protest School of thought theorized it and how the same theory is applied in the recent phenomenon of terrorism. In the terrorism era, the war on terror is propagated by westerners and reacted by some Arab-based powers, and war of terror is the reaction labelled by these western states upon these Arab-based powers. However, despite the claim that both camps are fighting for human rights, on both sides, a huge violation of what they are fighting for, "the human rights" is witnessed. Thus, this article argues that the theory damages the values of human rights itself and proves that human rights protection will never be attained violating the human rights of others.
