摘要
The Narmada-Son Lineament (NSL) is one of the major lineaments in central India which splits the Indian Peninsula into two parts. The area of study is seismically active and positioned in a multifaceted transition zone with complex geological setting. The gravity anomaly varies from ENE-WSW to NW-SE direction due to the upliftment of Mahakoshal rocks. This includes the presence of meta-volcanic and meta-sedimentary rocks existing along the upper part of the Narmada river as well as western part of the Son valley. This tectonic resettlement process causes changes in the Narmada and Son river courses.
