Discusses the use of the IOSN for general dental practitioners regarding the appropriate referral criteria to specialist services for patients with dental anxiety.Provides a method by which dentists can reliably assess and tailor the sedation modality for patients with dental anxiety.Shows the importance of assessing patient dental anxiety and treatment complexity in the decision making process.
