Grundlagen: Oropharyngeale Dysphagien mit Aspiration können neben einer Beeinträchtung der Lebensqualität zu potentiell lebensbedrohlichen Komplikationen wie Malnutrition, Dehydration oder Aspirationspneumonie führen. Voraussetzung für ein adäquates Management dysphagischer Patienten ist eine exakte Diagnostik sowie die Kenntnis der therapeutischen Möglichkeiten.
