Die obstruktive Schlafpnoe (OSA) wird als eine mögliche Ursache einer resistenten Hypertonie angesehen. Der Nutzen einer aufgrund der schlafmedizinischen Befunde eingeleiteten CPAP-Therapie (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) ist bislang nicht ausreichend belegt und quantifiziert worden.
