The dynamics of the foreign workforce in the Far Eastern Federal District is analyzed in the paper, as well as the role of foreign migrant workers in the economic development of Jewish Autonomous Oblast. A mathematical model of the interaction between the economically active population and foreign workers in the regional labor market is proposed. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
