Thin layers of La0.7Sr0.3CoO3-δ (LSC) were deposited by RF Magnetron Sputtering on Yttria-Stabilized-Zirconia (YSZ) at low temperature. The electrochemical behavior was studied by impedance spectroscopy at equilibrium. The diagrams obtained were separated into a high frequency semi-circle and a finite diffusion characteristic. The diffusion and concentration parameters extracted from these diagrams allowed us to deduce the oxide vacancy concentration and the corresponding diffusion coefficient. Up to 530 °C, no interfacial chemical reactions interfere with the diffusion behavior. The diffusion parameters are compared to the literature data. The results confirm that the internal diffusion electrode mechanism can be implemented and that the cobaltite can be an excellent electrode material at reduced temperature.
