摘要
Written by a GDP of 28 years' experience who is now HIV positive.Describes the appalling professional consequences in the UK of acquiring a blood-borne infection.Details the professional, emotional, financial and psychological impact of being banned from practising dentistry.Questions the current UKAP guidance, appeals for its revision on the basis of current evidence and asks why the dental profession does not do more to support its own colleagues in such situations.
