The quantitative analysis of the tooth enamel microstructure before and after whitening is conducted. For primary processing and visualization of the relief obtained by atomic force microscopy, a cartographic method is applied. Analyzing the height distribution, a topologically grounded zero level is found relative to which all the calculations are made. The estimation is made and the differences in the statistical, correlation, and multifractal dependences of the tooth enamel surface structure before and after an erosion are shown. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
