摘要
The use of additives is a viable strategy for enhancing absorption rates and, thereby, increasing the capacity of absorption machines. However, there is no general consensus or standard procedure in selecting potential additives. In this paper, we propose a new semi-empirical approach for the evaluation of mass transfer additives using surface tension gradients and Marangoni numbers. An analytical evaluation of surface tension has been carried out for ranges of temperature and LiBr and additive concentrations.
