The evaluation and treatment of men with bothersome lower urinary tract symptoms is a significant component of most urology practices. The role of urodynamics in this process is controversial. This article reviews the urodynamic techniques that can be used, the relationship between urodynamic testing results and treatment response, and the scenarios in which urodynamic testing may be particularly helpful.
